Sussex Independent, October 23, 1903: "One of the most successful farmers in what is known as the mountain district, at the head waters of the Big Flat Brook, is Alonzo Little. Mr. Little's possessions are just a mile square. A great deal of this has been cleared up by Mr. Little, put into a good state of cultivation and is paid for. He is an extensive sheep breeder, and raises and sells many young cattle, being the largest dealer in the district. He has in contemplation the breeding and raising of Angora goats, and is giving the matter a great deal of study and consideration."
