Sussex Independent, Friday, Dec. 25, 1903: Mrs. George B. Adams died at her home in Newton, on Saturday last, of pneumonia, after a brief illness. Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Joseph Little of near Sussex, and was born on the old homestead in Vernon township, now owned and occupied by her brother, Jacob V. Little. She was born March 10, 1836, and was consequently in her sixty-eighth year. She removed from Davenport, Iowa, to Newton, about a year ago. She was married to George B. Adams, December 23, 1874, and spent the greater part of her life in the west. Mr. Adams died in June 1899. She is survived by one son, Claude L. Adams, who resides at the home in Newton. She is also survived by four brothers, Jacob V., of Vernon; William S. and Owen J. of Sussex and Howard of Newton. The funeral was held on Tuesday. Interment in the Papakating cemetery, at Sussex.:
