Sussex Independent, Friday, March 25, 1904: "Ogden Woodruff died March 20th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Bissell, in Newark, aged sixty-six years. Besides his daughter he is survived by his wife, one brother, Job, of New York, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Chamberlain of Morris Plains; Rebecca Woodruff and Mrs. Emma Leport, of Sussex; also by four nieces, Mrs. J. D. Shorter, Mrs. F. U. Dickson, Mrs. Sarah Clark and Mrs. Amasa Bedell, all of this town. The funeral was held in Newark on Tuesday, Interment at Stanhope."
