    1. Re: [NJSUSSEX-L] Re: Old Beemer Church (Beemer Meeting House) Cemetery
    2. My recollection from visiting numerous cemeteries in Sussex County about two years ago is that there is a "New" and an "Old" Cemetery in Beemerville. The "Old" one was not well maintained when I was there. There Beemer Meeting House Cemetery is not located in Beemerville, but just off of Rt. 565 on the road that goes to Beemerville. I drove past it several times without seeing it. It sits up off the road on the left side as you travel west toward Beemerville. The gate to the cemetery opens into the back yard of a relatively new house. I was under the impression that the Beemer Meeting House once stood in on the property where the house is. The cemetery had been run down and overgrown at one time, but has had some repairs in recent years. There were some grave stones lined up along the wall and some were lying flat on the ground. Some had been repaired. This cemetery is located in the vicinity of the area marked on some maps as Pellettown, named presumably for Obadiah Pellett was a large landowner in Sussex County. It took me several trips to Sussex County before I finally found this cemetery. I hope this helps someone. Ted Nichols Researching the Pellett / Pellet family in Sussex County
