I seem to have confusion and I wonder if someone has the information that can straighten out my confusion. Edward MABEE of Beaver Run (1830-1914) married Mary E. HARDEN (1833-1912). I have a marriage date for them as 3 Dec. 1863. Is this correct? It can't be correct, because the 1880 census (Lafayette, Sussex Co.) lists John MABEE as son and age 25 years. That makes his birth date about 1854, right? Then in North Church Cemetery is a record of "Sarah MABEE, daughter of Edward and Mary, died 26 October 1851, aged 7 months." If that Sarah is the daughter of this Edward and Mary, then they would have to have been married by 1850 or 1851, right? And Mary would have only been 17 or 18 when married. That isn't impossible. Had Edward had been married previously and that wife had been named Mary, too? Not impossible, of course. Edward is buried in North Church Cemetery with granddaughter, Belle MABEE daughter of John MABEE and Cad ROE. She died 1891. But it seems that Mary MABEE was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in California. Can anyone help? Thanks. Mona in Indiana
