Hello to all. Item #1. This day I've learned that my g g grandmother was Scharlet Brown, born about 1835 Walnut Valley, Blairstown twp, NJ. Scharlet married about 1851 to William LANCE b about 1820. Scharlet died after the birth of the sixth child, which was between 1866 and the census of 1870. I suspect her resting place is near Walnut Valley but so far I've not found her nor any information on William LANCE. Item#2 In searching cemeteries I've found many LANCE people in the Hainesburg Cemetery of Warren County, NJ. I suspect these people are brother's and their descendants of my G. G. Grandfather William who was born in Walnut Valley, NJ The following rest there: John Lance b abt 1780 died Dec. 24, 1856. August 2, 1807, John married Elenor Morden b abt 1787 d. April 6, 1840. The following LANCE people are also in Hainesburg. I suspect these are all John's children. 1. George Lance b abt 1819 d? George married Mary Woolever b 1832 d? They had 1. Isaac J b Dec. 4 1857 2. Julia b abt 1858 3. Sarah Ann b Dec 21, 1854 died young buried Baptist Cemetery Montana, Harmony Twp. 4. James, an infant also in the Baptist Cemetery with Sarah. 5. Edward 6. Arminda 2. John Lance b about 1826 married Sarah b abt 1829 They had 1. John B. Lance b 1854 - d 1918 who married Francis b 1856 d 1904 John B. and Francis had Edith Pearl, Marshal Carrie Celia 2. John B. second child was William b abt 1864 d April 18, 1890. 3. Anthony Lance b Feb 14, 1828 d August 20, 1902 Married Margaret Ann Allen b Jan 28, 1836 d Jan 1, 1908 Anthony and Margaret Ann had 1.Benjimin Dewitt Lance b abt 1859 d 1870 2. Thomas Lance b 1864 died at 5 months 3. Issiah b 1854 d 1921 who married Kassiah b 1858 d 1920 4. Hannah 5. Lizie 6.
