Does anyone know the identity of James Adams below and does anyone know if he and Sarah Dunn had other children besides the one child listed? Sarah Dunn b. c. 1767 removed with her family to the frontier on the Susquehanna River in Wyoming Valley in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, fled with her family in July 1778 after the Wyoming Massacre to New Jersey, m. 3 Jan 1787 (docket of Francis Price of Frankford) James Adams as his second wife, his first wife being her sister Ann. On 1 Oct 1832 Sarah, aged sixty five, a resident of Arcadia, Wayne County, New York, gave an affidavit for her brother Samuel's pension application and she stated - "that at the time of the Massacre at Wyoming by the Indians and Tories during the Revolutionary War, she lived at Wilkes Barre in the State of Pennsylvania and was among the inhabitants that fled from there - that she had four brothers in the Army - then in service at that place, named William Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Samuel Dunn and Levi Dunn, who were in the battle at the time of the massacre, that William and Levi were killed there - that she saw Samuel in the service at that time, she well recollects - she knows he was in the service and saw him several times before and after the massacre, and was with him while she was fleeing from Wilkes Barre - and that Samuel now lives in the town of Arcadia, County of Wayne, State of New York."
