I descend from the GUSTIN family of Sussex Co., NJ. I am wondering how Col. JOHN GUSTIN who was the founder of AUGUSTA and had a store in Branchville, fit into the line. I believe I descend from a JOHN GUSTIN who was born 1691 in Lynn, Essex Co., MA. and died 1777 in Sussex Co., NJ. He is buried in Branchville on the "Duffy McDannold Farm ( as of the early '50's) This JOHN had a son THOMAS who married RUTH OWEN. His son, THOMAS, married JANE HILL or HUI. They had a daughter MARGARET GUSTIN who married WILLIAM STULL. Their daughter, CHARLOTTE A. STULL is my 2nd great grandmother. Much of this information is not properly documented.
