What is the name of Jacob's wife? There is a Jacob REEDER B: 1760, New Jersey, with wife Ann BLACKWELL, and his parents are listed as Joseph REEDER II B: 1716 and his wife is Susannah GANO? Is that part of the family you were inquiring? Joseph and Susannah had a David but he died in Ohio. Maybe not the one you wanted. Hi Vera! Brookville is in Ocean Co, NJ. Could she have gone to southern to NJ to visit a relative or a friend, maybe just taking a trip for pleasure. I have been wondering if you know anything about Jacob Reeder. I find Jacob in the Rev War and also in the Newton Tax Ratable Lists. Do you know if Jacob is James Reeder's father? Maybe Mary Catherine named David after Jacob if he should be her grandfather. That would explain the Jacob in David's name. You know I have two Christopher Leflers in the War of 1812 from Sussex/Hunterdon County. This is a big problem in this family(same given names in the same time period). For example John of Straw Church and John of Oxford! also Davids/Jacobs?/George/Philip/Abraham. Sometimes their weddings are announced in the Easton Newspaper during the 1820s. Any help verifying this or other? I guess you could say it is my brick wall! ----- Original Message ----- From: pascalfl To: Misty Main Address Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2007 11:10 AM Subject: Re: Help Misty (MEYERS, RICHARDS and CARD Sorry about that Misty, I sent this too early by mistake: I meant to send the information along to 'list' hoping someone else could confirm some of the information. First I checked the 1910 Census and I do believe the Emily 'Messa' from the 1920 Census (gr-mother of your George CARD) is actually Emily Myers/Meyers (abt 1847) , w/o Edward M. (abt 1844), both living in Lafayette with grdaus, Emily Richards (1896) and Florence Richards(1897). Florence here is listed as single. Now in 1915 , New Jersey State Census - Sussex Co., Lafayette Dwelling and Family - 63/64 Myers, Edward M., w m Apr 1844 71 M NJ NJ NJ Emily w f Apr 1847 69 M NJ NJ NJ Richards, Emily M. w f Oct?1895 19 S NJ NJ NJ Card, Florence A. w f Nov 1896 18 M NJ NJ NJ (listed here as married but no spouse in hh) George A. w m Jul y 1914 11/11 S NJ NJ NJ (matches your information on George from SSDI) In 1900 - Sussex Co., NJ for Lafayette, Florence A. Richards is listed as the granddaughter of this couple (making your George their great-grandchild) and living in their household is 's-in-law' John (W/U?) Richards (May 1868) along with their dau, Emily (I/J?) Richards (Apr 1880) and grandchildren, Emily M. (Oct 1895), Florence A. (Nov 1896) and Edward J. (Dec 1899). This census indicates that Emily J. Richards had given birth to three ch, all three are listed as living. NOT PROVEN, but Edward Meyers is likely the son of Roger Myers/Meyers and Eliza BELL. My conclusion thus far from the info above is the your George CARD, b 14 Jul 1914 was the gr-grson of Edward and Emily MEYERS/MYERS, grson of John RICHARDS and Emily MEYERS/MYERS and son of (unk) CARD and Florence A. RICHARDS. Does anyone from 'list' having any additonal information? Nancy Pascal

Catherine died 28 Feb. 1870. They had one child, Benjamin C. CRABTREE, born 1866 in Newton and died 18 Aug. 1889 in Newton. Both Benjamin and his mother are buried in Newton Cem., Sussex Co., NJ.
