Hi Pat, I believe we have corresponded before on the MUNSON family. My Grandmother Cora Dillistin's parents were Barbra Ann MUNSON (1824-1915) and Alfred Dillistin. I have 37 Munson names in my file but NO George Walter Munson b. 1873. The two volume "The Munson Record"; Myron A. Munson (1895) begins with Thomas Munson (1612-1685). It may have information on your George. Sorry, I don't have copies, only excerpts. The name VANDAL LANTZ, or a variation of it, appears at least three times in early American records. "WENDEL LENTZ" landed in this country aboard the ship "Thistle" on 19 September 1738, and a "JOHAN WENDEL LENTZ" landed aboard the ship "John and Elizabeth" on 7 November 1754. Also, a WANDAL LANCE is buried in a private cemetery in Hampton Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. This Wandal was born 20 February 1711 and died 18 October 1783. His wife Soffy was born 23 December 1721 and died 23 September 1781. A "Vantee Lantz" also appears on the 1774 Tax Records of Newton Township, Sussex Co New Jersey. The father of my ancestor GEORGE LANTZ (born 1747-48, died circa 1820-30 in Arkansas) was a VANDAL LANTZ. Did Vandal Lantz of Sussex Co. have other children? If so what are their names, etc. In the cemetery where Vandal Lantz is buried, there are three other Lantz markers: Lance, Daniel, born 30 December 1785, died April 1786 Lantz, George, wife Catherine, died 27 July 1845, aged 63.0.13 [born 1782] Lantz, Jacob died 15 July 1827, in 84th yr [born 1743]; wife Mary, died 28 August 1832 in 87th year Are these Lantzes connected to Vandal and Soffy Lantz? Any answers, help, clues, commiseration appreciated! PENNYPEACE@prodigy.net

Hi Ken, There are two indices for Snell's "History of Sussex and Warren Counties, NJ". The first entry for WALTER(S) in the Sussex section is p. 41 Partition Line Between East & West Jersey. I am looking for any information on Daniel, John and Edward Gunderman who were born in (abt) 1820, 1818 and 1825 respectively in the NJ/NY area (probably in Sussex County but could be in Passaic County). All were married in 1839 to 1845 period. I have wives and children's names for verification. All of these men (with families) migrated to Clinton County, Michigan in the mid to later 1840s. Daniel is my GGGrandfather and all enlisted in the Civil War from DeWitt Twp, MI in 1862. I believe they were brothers, but possibly one was a cousin to the others. Any lead is appreciated!! Hi folks, I have a Rosina HONEYCHURCH, born in 1872 in Ogdensburg. The last info I can find on her is the 1885 NJ State census. In 1895, she is not living with her parents. Has anyone come across her marriage or her death? Just hoping, Anne Stephens

To Paul and Laurie who are researching VanSickle and allied lines. I'm wondering if anyone out there has a Nancy Crane, b c1780 NJ who married Abraham Van Sickle c1808 and had a son John in Sussex Co. NJ. I'm hoping this John may be the father of Oliver Abraham VanSickle, b 1832, Bucks Co. PA. All info greatly appreciated. Thanks. Al Stoner
My 3rd Great Grandfather Dr. Cyrus C. Moore was born in Morristown NJ in 1823. As a young child his family moved to or near Decketonn which was Sussex County, NJ. Many people have tried to determine whom his parents were prior to me...all came up empty handed....dead end. Surely there has to be something more to check for him and his parents in this County? Census Records in 1820 and books after that do not help me with this. Can anyone tell me or suggest to me something/somewhere else to try? There were many brothers to my 3rd great grandfather, so surely there must be church records, land records, or something? This Moore family just cannot disappear without a trace in that County. Things or places to try needed that can be done e-mail or snail mail, as I am many, many states away from NJ. Thanks for the suggestions. Pam

If you find out about Hardyston please post it to the list. My Samuel Potts Goucher family lived in Hardyston and were married in Hardyston back in 1816 and the early 1820's. Thanks! Stacey momdit@aol.com
