    3. I have seen a lot of questions about Somerset County in NJ since I have joined the list serve. I am surprised at how many different townships are in the county. I am from GA but my grandfather Frederic Earle Staats is from Somerset County--Griggstown or Belle Mead is where he attended the Dutch Reformed Church. He moved south after the Big War (WWI not WWII). His family has lived in Somerset since the early 1700's. Could anyone tell me more about the area? How large is the county? Population? Etc? My grandfather passed away in 1968 before I was old enough to be really interested in where my ancestors came from. Thanks for any and all information. If anyone knows about any of my ancestors, I would appreciate that information too.
