I have hit a brick wall with my great-grandfather, Charles REED. I know he was born in 1814 in New Jersey, possibly Allentown. I have been unable to connect him to any parents or siblings. In the 1830 Census, I found a Charles REED in Somerset County, Warren Township with a family of 12 people, one of whom is in the 15-20 years old age group, which would be right for my Charles.
