Another source for birth, death, marriage information is the Bound Brook Chronicle (called "The Chronicle" years ago). They covered much of the Bound Brook, Manville, Somerville, Franklin Twp., South Bound Brook area. The Bound Brook Library has them on microfilm and they date from the late 1800's to current publications. I found much information on my Durling relatives in them. Copies of articles are available. One note on the Courier-News (old Plainfield Courier-News) based in Bridgewater. Don't waste your time going there for copies or the Somerset County Library in Bridgewater. The Courier-News doesn't let anyone in for research, and the Bridgewater Branch of the Somerset County Library only has copies of the Courier dating back about 10 years. For anything earlier than the mid 1980's go to the Plainfield library on Park Avenue in Plainfield, NJ. They have all of the years on microfilm and it is available for copying issues (there is a small charge for the copies--bring quarters!!). Jackie Lubinski jwl@hunterdon.csnet.net
