Bob, Since you are "formerly of Somerville," perhaps this description will jog your memory. The New Cemetery is the one on S. Bridge Street as you leave Somerville. When I lived in Somerville, if someone said "The Cemetery," this is the one they meant (especially if they were Protestant). It's the place where the Memorial Day parade ends. It is "New" only in contrast to the "Old Cemetery" across the road. The New Cemetery must date to the turn of the century as I have a burial listed in the Old Cemetery in 1882 and all burials after 1910 are in the New Cemetery. I hope this helps.
