The fee for birth/death records is no longer $4.00. Effective March 1, 1999 it was raised to $10.00. The fee will cover a search of up to 5 consecutive years for each requested record. All funds raised from the increased fee will be used exclusively for preserving and re-microfilming the vital records in the State Archives.
