NJ marriage licenses show that Simon Anderson married Mary Van Houghlin in Somerset County NJ on Oct 11, 1781. I have seen these variations on Mary's name: Van Aglen, Van Hengler, Van Anglen. Simon's will and baptismal records show that their children were: Mattje (Martha?), George, Cornelius, Sarah, and Dinah. I believe that Simon was probably the son of George and Mettie Anderson baptised on Janurary 1, 1757 in New Brunswick. Can anyone confirm this? Also, Somerset County marriages show the following: George Anderson and Polly Hill, May 29, 1802 George Anderson and Violetta Ten Eyck, November, 1816 Cornelius Anderson and Sophia Field, april 1, 1819. Does anyone know if any of these bridegrooms was a son of Simon and Mary Anderson?
