I am new to the list and am hoping someone may have some information that will help me break down the brick wall I have encountered. I am trying to find the parents of my great-grandparents, Charles REED and Maria Ann SKILLMAN. He was born February 26, 1814, in NJ somewhere, possibly Allentown. She was born March 23, 1821, in New Jersey, location unknown. They were married January 16, 1840, in the Neshanic Dutch Reformed Church by Reverend Gabriel Ludlow. They moved their family to Oconee, Illinois, in 1857, where they lived and raised 11 children, and both died in 1883. Does any of this strike a chord? Robert L.
