An article in the Somerset County Historical quarterly quoted the journal of Betsey Van Liew of Middlebush as saying that "Richard Rappleyea of the Landing died on March 29, 1829." Richard's widow, Elsie Rappleyea is enumerated on the 1830 census in Franklin Twp. in Somerset County. Can anyone tell me where "the Landing" is or where Richard and Elsie are likely to be buried? They belonged to the Dutch Reformed Church. Some of their children, but not all, were baptised in New Brunswick. Does the church at 6 Mile Run have a burial ground? If yes, are tombstone inscriptions available somewhere?
