Howdy, Sharon, I'd appreciate your authorization to use at least one of them on my site - in the section that includes Harlingen DRC records at http://wavecom.net/~fulker/nynjrecords.html. I'd include a copyright notice referring back to you. 3. Hi listers, I finally have two photos of Harlingen Reformed Church on Route 206 in Belle Mead. If you're interested in receiving a scanned copy, please email me directly and I'll be happy to send them to you. I've been told by friends that I should mention that I'm doing this for your personal use and that the photos are not to be used on your website without authorization or permission. It's really sad that we even have to mention such a thing but some people are, evidently, unprofessional about such things and in the past photos have appeared in strange places! Hope you like the pictures! Sharon Moore Colquhoun Belle Mead NJ

    1. History
    2. I'm becoming weary with names and dates, and would like to learn more about the daily life of my ancestors who lived in this area of NJ from about 1700 to the mid to late 1700's. Of most interest would be the type of homes, clothing, social activities, everyday life of families both rich and poor. Did most people live on farms or in villages and towns and who lived a better life? Or was it more a matter of difference than of quality? What I'm asking then, could someone suggest a book or website where such information could be found? Or is there someone on the list knowlegable enough and willing to discuss these issues? Thank you, Jill Knitl

    3. Currently on eBay.com there is a family Bible for a Peter Blue, 1823-1850. If this is, or could possibly be, your family, please check it out. There are beautiful family Bibles on eBay every day, most with genealogical information. Some even have tintypes in them. You owe it to yourself to bookmark eBay and check it out. No, I have no affiliation with eBay. I just feel really bad when these items come up for auction; often there are no bidders. When you get to eBay enter "Bibles" or "Family Bible" or "Bible". The Bible mentioned above was found under "Family Bibles" along with many others. Let me know if you find one that's your family! Sharon Moore Colquhoun Belle Mead NJ

    2. Alice Stipak
    3. Dear Sharon, Thank you so much for taking the time to type in all this HAGAMAN info from the Harlingen Church in New Jersey. Several of my ancestors are included here, so it IS very helpful! Question: Why is the surname spelling consistently only "HAGAMAN" in this data, I wonder? Yes, some of the descendants became "HAGAMAN," but the original spelling of the name was "HEGEMAN" into the mid-1700's, and then many of them became also "HAGEMAN," including my line. For example, on your very last line you have : "325/1851 William Hagaman, Magdalen Skillman" (typo for 3/25/1851, I assume) These are my GGgrandparents, and the last name for William Brown HAGEMAN should be spelled "HAGEMAN" with an "e." Thank you again for your generous efforts on the behalf of others! Alice, San Jose, California Alice Imig Stipak, namesake of my grandmother Alice (Hageman) Imig.
