My Gentry's are from Salem, Cumberland, & Gloucester Co's, NJ. And, so far, are NOT related to the southern families,(NC,SC,VA etc)or any other Gentry line. I've tried for years to connect to the 1909 book without luck. William & Thomas Gentry of NJ were mentioned, but not connected. I (at this time) think that my (NJ) Gentry's are German not English. I read that William (below)had brothers Moses, Ebenezer, 2 others & some sisters. I haven't found anything out about Moses, Ebenezer or the other siblings so I check all leads. As of 11/20/02, Moses Gentry, of Cumberland Co., NJ, Letters of administration granted by Joseph Moore, Surrogate, on 6 Dec 1854, to William Gentry.
