I have been working on this line for a long tilme. I just recently found Mathias on the 1850 Census in Delaware. I grew up in New Jersey. My daddy's sister lived in Bridgeport. We used to go across the Delaware river on a ferry boat to Delaware before they built the first bridge. I live in California now. I was in New Jersey in February. My sister passed away. I wanted to go to the cemeteries but it snowed really bad while I was there and my flight was canceled coming home. I did get to the little cemetery in Woodstown where my great, grandfather, Elisha Reed is buried. I had to wade through deep snow to get pictures. My older sister had a lot of pictures of the Reed family and Stanger family but not much on the Moore line. I did get a picture of my great aunt Amanda (Moore) Harper. She had lived in Delaware also. I don't know where Mathias and Mulford are burried. I figured Mathias probably is burried in Delaware. I think Mulford could be buried in the St. George Cemetery in Pennsgrove, N.J. Mulford was married to Anna Zane and a lot of Zane's are burried there. I think Mathias may have died around 1850. I saw a directory in New Castle County for 1851 showing shop keepers. He wasn't listed, but a couple of Moore's were. Maybe he worked for another Family member. Do you know anything about Mathias' first wife and children? On the 1850 census, Mathias was listed as McMoore. I think he could have been born in Scotland or perhaps his ancesters were. Do you have any information on that? I will have more questions. I will post again after I have a chance to digest the information you have given me. Thank you so much. Please answer soon. Em [email protected]
