Hi Deb, Jeremiah "Jerry" Richer, b. Jan. 26, 1858, Upper Pittsgrove, Salem Co, d. March 18, 1899 after 6 wks. of Acute Abdominal pain (ruptured appendix?), son of Ananias and Mary Hughes Richer. His mother died in childbirth on Jan. 26, 1858. He married into my LACY line -- Rachel "Annie" Lacy, 1858-1893 (died of Typhoid Fever) -- m. March 3, 1881, Harrisonville ME Church (Glou. Co.), by Rev. Daniel Harris. They had 2 children -- Laura and Harmon. Both Jerry and Annie Lacy Richer are buried with their daughter Laura in Friendship Methodist Cemetery, Monroeville, Salem Co. (close to Gloucester Co.) with many Hutchinson relatives. This info was confirmed by Lacy records, birth/death certs., cemetery records, tombstones, marriage records in County Historic Libraries, and census sheets from 1850 onward. If you look a little further you can verify much of the Richer/Austin info. by checking out some of the available data in Camden, Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland Co. HS Libraries. It has taken me 3 years to put some of this together! After Harmon lost his mother, father, and sister he moved to Camden in 1900 and lived w/ my grgrandparents (his grandparents), William "French" and Sarah Mood LACY, and then in 1910 he worked on his cousin's farm, Frank E.
