A Judgement in the Inferior Court of Common Pleas against Frances Wade at suit of Henry Haines for L356.16.10 plus L1. 10.9 cost of suit, authorized the High Sheriff, Benjamin Cripps to make a sale of a tract of 321 acres land and premises, which previously William Summerill of UPN and Rhoda h/w by indenture dated 9 Apr 1783 had granted to said Frances Wade in fee of., now sold by sherriff at a public vendue held 13 Aug 1788, Bateman Lloyd Jr being the highest bidder. Lloyd now conveys the following parcel to Dolbow for consideration of L130.0.0 Beginning at a white oak Thence S 63 degrees E 12 chains and 30 links to a Black oak corner. Thence S 17 degrees E 14 chains and 75 links to a stake in a pond. Thence S 88 degrees and 30" E 35 Chains and 25 links to a stake. Thence N 30 degrees W 57 chains and 50 links to a stake corner of James Cook lands bought of Lloyd. Thence by Cook's land S 43 degrees W 34 chains and 40 links to a stake in the edge of a swamp. Thence S 39 degrees E 3 chains to the beginning. Containing 125 acres of Land and Swamp more or less.
