I am trying to find out what info is on the headstone of a soldier that was killed in WW2 that is buried in the Salem Baptist Cemetery, as the headstone should note his unit he served in and his date of death, both of which I am trying hard to find out. I'm hoping the caretaker or a pastor may be able to check that for me, or is there someone that could go to the cemetery and check his headstone for me?? His name was Private Russell F. Jones Jr., and he was killed in Italy during WW2. I live in Minnesota so I could sure use the help! Thanks!
