Perhaps that is in part the reason not all inquisitons, if they resulted in forfeited property, were not included in these lists. The accounting is difficult to follow in this format, in any case, but possibly the line that shows previous money paid to the state would indicate an earlier reckoning. In this same file there were about 20, vouchers, but not numbered as referred to above. I will note the names listed in my next post. One other note, the values given for the sale of property may or may not reflect the true values in war time. All were exposed to public auction, and at least one opinion I have read, suggests that they were often let go at considerably less than their true value. Val
