This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. That is hard for me to imagine, but I respect Fola and her years of study in the area, so I never asked for a source for that statement when I had the chance. However, the more I learn, the more I feel this avenue of research could be a source of information that might scale more than one brick wall. I've been surfing around on this topic for a couple of weeks now, so can offer a couple of places you might want to look. The On-line Institute for Advanced Loyalist Studies: This one is fairly new, but already awesome. Plus you'll find more links from here. http://www.royalprovincial.com/index.htm Rootsweb message board - Loyalists Fairly inactive so far, but giver it a shot. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=topics.loyalists Also, I discovered as I searched some specific names, there are many Canadians hunting on the web to discover their immigrant's roots in the states. The Rootsweb NJ - Unknown county list showed me a few of these. If anyone has others, I'd like to see them. Val
