(not far from Elmer) in this exact order: -- Walker, Joseph & family (Joseph is age 23) -- Snyder, Andrew & family (age 47) -- Harris, John & family (38) -- Lacy, Samuel & family (40) -- Sayres, Ephraim & family (29) -- Kandle, Adam & family (2 Adams, ages 62 and 26) -- Langley, C.F. & family (55) --- error for Silas F. -- Walker, Charles P. & family (51) -- Langley, Samuel & family (43) -- Hulings (Hewlings?), Elias & family (52) -- Green, James & family (62) -- Rice, T.J. & family (79) Today we see a Langley road intersecting a Harris road, plus a still-thriving Walker’s Farm Market. There is also a Green’s Branch (creek) on the map. Joan ([email protected]) has confirmed that Joshua Lacy's daughter Annie m. Ephraim Sayres, and Phebe Ann Lacy m. John L. Harris. We Langleys had one Harris, one Hulings, and two Kandle marriages, too. What other marriages, land sales, etc., took place among these neighbors, and what exact locations do you think the 1880 Census describes? ----- Dolores in Delaware
