On one of my GGGGrandparents documents, It lists Following The Water as his occupation. Anyone have a clue to that one? Lora
When I was doing some research on Maryland's Eastern Shore (Actually just outside the 3 counties that is Delaware) I learned about a reference to "Waterman" as a occupation. It seems that that is what those who go out in boats to catch fish, or to clam, or Oyster gathering are called. Maybe "The Water" means something like that. warmly, Ric ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 14, 2003 4:03 AM Subject: Another strange meaning : On one of my GGGGrandparents documents, It lists : Following The Water as his occupation. : Anyone have a clue to that one? : Lora : : : ============================== : To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: : http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 : :
