Barbara, I have very little CONFIRMED info on my HOLTONs. I KNOW that my gr- gr-grandmother, Catherine HOLTON, married my gr-gr granfather, Henry WEISS in Salem County ca 1846. I BELIEVE she was the daughter of John HOLTON and Sarah BIDDLE, and I BELIEVE that Sarah was the daughter of William BIDDLE and Catherine/Catherina FLANAGAN Biddle Peterson. I also BELIEVE that Catherine had both a brother and an uncle named Charles HOLTON. My sources for this include a will abstract and some marriage index records. But with the names all being very similar, I am still treating this as 'theory' and not 'proved'. Does any of this tie in with your info?
