Peter and Cornelia have been married 10 years. Note the addition of an older son, Timothy. Based on age, I would say this is Peter in 1880 (there is no 1890 census, it burned): Name: Peter B. NJ; Elizabeth is a servant in the household. the only Peter I find in NJ 1870 is age 38 and the spelling of his last name is Ridgeway; so far, the spelling has consistently been Ridgway in 1860, I think this is the right fellow: Peter B. is 23, but his parents are Charles and Sarah. NO, excuse me, by ages, Charles has to be Peter's brother, not his father. Ah, yes, in 1850, Ocean Co, we have Timothy Ridgway, 41 Martha, 39 Peter 17 James 15 Richard 12 male, 11 (looks like James but we already have a James) Timothy 9 Samuel 6 (looks like) Haukissian, 5 Geoff 1 and a 70 yr old Mary M______? looks like Manion/Manian... -----Original Message----- From: Theodore R. VonBartheld (aka) RedThunder, I live in Alabama and I am trying to get a fix on my family ancestry. I do know that: Timothy RIDGWAY and Martha Fisher were the Father & Mother of: Peter RIDGWAY, Born: Oct. 1833 In Barnegat, Monmouth County, New Jersey. I have word that he died before 1910 in Medford, Burlington County, New Jersey. At one point He married one: Caroline Carmelia, Born: Oct 1869 some paperwork shows in 1899 he married her, her last Name at that time was SLOAN. She had a son George SLOAN that came with her into the RIDGWAY family. This would I believe be from her last marriage? I am trying to put it all together but I do not want to do this on just word alone. I am looking for the paper trail: Birth, Marriage, Divorce, Death, Ect. They had a son named: Charles RIDGEWAY/RIDGWAY, Born: 24 Feb. 1902 in Cape May, NJ. He was Born: Charles RIDGWAY but not sure, I see paperwork both ways. I believe that his name changed when he married Anna Mae WILSON, Born: 01 Jan. 1908 in Bridgeton, NJ that's what it says on her Social Security Application when she remarried in 1943 to a CARTY. According to Charles RIDGEWAY's Social Security Application, his father was: Peter RIDGEWAY & his mother was: Caroline SLOAN Charles RIDGEWAY/RIDGWAY & Anna Mae WILSON had a Daughter: Elizabeth Anna RIDGEWAY who was my mother. It is my understanding in the family background there is: Lenape, I would like to prove that and my linage back to that line if my linage be true to the Lenape American Indian. I am proud of my heritage no matter what it is, but if it dose prove out, I would like to join the Tribe. Just trying to find some help on this, I do not know where you live but for me, it is a little hard to walk there and do the footwork from Alabama. Thank you until we talk again, peace be with you and yours Theodore R. VonBartheld -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
