Couldn't find anything on this Catherine in Salem County, but I wonder if this one in the Monroe and Washington Twp Gloucester/Camden County might be the one. (1850 and 1860 census records included) There were Davis along the border of Salem & Gloucester, so she may have met Daniel through a relative in Salem County.
