Gould, Pierce and Durham are all "Gouldtown names," right? But, I'm not yet familiar with Murray. Murray is definitely another Gouldtown name. Years ago I did research for a gal who descended from the Goulds, Pierces, and Murrays of Gouldtown. There is also a booklet published, that I discovered at the time, about Gouldtown. I forget the title but the book was on the shelves at Gloucester County Historical Society library. Something about Gouldtown being a tri-racial community. The original settlers were (if I remember correctly) supposed to have been freed slaves from MD, a Black man from the West Indies, a Native American and Whites mixed in -- including the Fenwick connection that has been mentioned here.
