Delores, I'm Janet not Ray. In Fenwick's will he writes "I do except against Elizabeth Adams of having any the least part of my estate" and then he writes "by giving her true repentance and forsaking that blake [black] that hath been the ruin of her, and becoming penitent for her sins." At the bottom of that section of the will in brackets, ["Whatever the 19 year old granddaughter's "transgression," it should be noted that the said Elizabeth Adams was married, only 16 days after the date of the will, on 23 August 1683 by civil ceremony at Salem, to Arket alias Anthony Windsor of Mannington Twp., Salem Co., planter--LDC.]. Hope this helps you. I was trying to write to the email address shown in my first email but that address is no longer in service. I understood that she did marry him anyway, however (which may be why Ray claims to be a descendant of Fenwick? Do you have any other stats, Ray? ) Could Elizabeth have had two marriages? Gould, Pierce and Durham are all "Gouldtown names," right? But, I'm not yet familiar with Murray. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
