If someone has the text of "Fenwick's Colony," please check it, as I believe I also once read the caveat in Fenwick's Will saying his granddaughter should not marry Somebody Gould, or get nothing. I understood that she did marry him anyway, however (which may be why Ray claims to be a descendant of Fenwick? Do you have any other stats, Ray? ) Could Elizabeth have had two marriages? Gould, Pierce and Durham are all "Gouldtown names," right? But, I'm not yet familiar with Murray. Now, I also have a Gould question: These Goulds, in birth order, are buried at Willow Grove Methodist, which lies in that wedge between Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties: Gould, Benjamin, b. 1-24-1834, d. 3-15-1929, H/o Caroline (Langley) Gould Gould, Caroline (Langley), b. 7-17-1834, d. 12-10-1906, W/o Benjamin Gould Bradford, Emma, b. 1866, d. 1951 Gould, Albert, b. 1882, d. 1952 Gould, Fred, b. 1885, d. 1950 Gould, Kathryn, b. 1885, d. 1967 Gould, Gertrude, b. 1888, d. 1968 Emma is 32 yrs. younger than Caroline and Benj. Since she is buried with them, logic suggests they are her parents, and she eventually married a Bradford. Then, Albert MIGHT have been born to Emma while she was 16 and unmarried, OR could have been her bro., born to 38-year-old parents. Same question applies to Fred, 3 years later, and I have no clue as to whether Kathryn and Gertrude were their wives, or sisters. >From Census information I gathered, it appears Benjamin and Caroline were both born in England, which would suggest they weren't of the "Gouldtown Goulds." But, since Caroline was a Langley and buried in the same grounds as other Langleys of interest to me, I wonder if they were products of parents going back and forth to the mother country. Caroline was born "between generations" of my other Willow Grove Langleys, so she has me stumped. Caroline and Albert are possible Langley names, but not the others. ----- Dolores in Delaware =====Quoting Researcher0071@aol.com: > To: plumbroke000 > ----John Fenwick's granddaughter Elizabeth, referred to in your note, was married to Anthony Windsor of Mannington Twp., Salem Co., NJ. > > Janet > > message from _plumbroke000@aol.com_ (mailto:plumbroke000@aol.com) > > I'm a desendent of John Fenwick.
