Joe, Thanks so very much. This does help me quite a bit and it makes sense that this is the location of Washington Neck. I am not familiar with Washington Park but I do know Red Bank and her husband died "near Red Bank" some years later. It is just south of the Red Bank Battlefield .... near National Park and Thorofare. I found it at the US Geographic Names Information (GNIS) site and it lists the Longitude and Latitude as: Lat. Long. Decimal 39.8645576 -75.1937910 Deg. Min. Sec. 39 51 52N 075 11 38W I think that this was also the site of Washington Park, an amusement park of the early 1900's. It's mentioned in my great grandfather's obit of 1939: "Mr. Sipple claimed to have introduced the clambake on a big scale some 33 years (ago) when he presided over a bake in Cincinnati. Later, he became a chef at Washington Park, former amusement resort on the Delaware below Gloucester." I also vaguely recall a sign on the parking lot of Auletto's Caterers, in Almonesson, that said that years ago there used to be some kind of train or streetcar that ran between the two.
