I am seeking a connection between THOMAS PILE (b. London, d. Piles Grove 1695), whose daughter Elizabeth (d. 1699) married William Hall (b. Dublin, Ireland, died 1728 in Salem) and HANNAH PILE, daughter of John Pile, who married Samuel Smith (d.1738). Samuel and Hannah both died in Mannington, Salem County, New Jersey. Samuel and Hannah (Pile) Smith are one of my sets of 7th great-grandparents, and had a son named Pile Smith. Thus I would like to know if Thomas Pile is also an ancestor. They both had associations with Piles Grove. Accordingly to the will of Pile Smith there was litigation going on at that time regarding Piles Grove. I would also like to know about that litigation; i.e. who were the parties, what was the argument, etc. Barbara Barbara L. de Mare, Esq.
