The gateway is a ONE WAY gateway. Posts gatewayed to the LIST from the BOARD should ONLY be replied to by clicking the link in the message to reply ON THE BOARD. Replies posted directly to the LIST will never be seen by the board poster (unless that board poster is also subbed to the list) and replies sent via email to the gc-gateway address will bounce because that address is invalid as a email address for replies. That is precisely what I meant when I said that replies are forced to the board--there is no way to make a reply via personal email and replies to the list don't reach the board poster.
