    2. One of my ancestors died in 1849 in Washington Neck, NJ. Where is Washington Neck located? In what county? Her husband died in Gloucester County in 1864 but I do not know where they were living in 1849. I assume it might be Washington Neck. I would appreciate any information. I tried google with no luck and did an internet search with no luck. Am hoping one of you researches might know this location. 2. Antoinette I was at the Gloucester County Historical Society today. The will index has several for Peter Peterson. However none for 1760. I didn't I have the other names you were looking for so I didn't look the will involved. If you think this could be you Peter Peterson I will print out your email and take it with me the next time I go unless someone else comes up with something first. The will I am speaking about is dated 1761. The index only says Salelm County. 2. Alan, First, I want to thank you and praise you for all your hard work/efforts in scanning multiple books of interest to many genealogists... We are on a couple of the same Digests...one in PA also...I see your many postings of pages covered. So, I know you are helping with research in several vicinities. A question: I have had difficulty with scanning programs over the years. I can never find one that works well. Clearly, you have mastered this. What program do you use to scan? Any particular tips? I know that this is not area specific. But I'm sure that others, like me, would scan more info if we had a scan/read program that worked well. Thanks for the info, and again for all your many efforts. Georgia Denman Barton, Davis, Young, Denman in Salem and Cumberland Moss, Moore, Wiederhold, Oschman & more in PA and northern NJ

    3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Natalie Burrows To: Salem County Historical Sent: Friday, February 16, 2007 4:09 PM Subject: Francis family - 1700's and 1800's I am tracing the Francis family in NJ and believe they lived for a time in what is now Salem County. I am particularly interested in David Francis, b. 1797 in NJ; married to Mary Risley, probably from Atlantic County. By 1830 he may have been living in Burlington County. He was married there at the house of Daniel Francis in Cinnaminson. I do not know his relationship to Daniel but I think they may have been brothers. Does anyone have information about David or Daniel Francis or their forebears? Thanks so much for any help. Natalie ndburrows@verizon.net
