In 1920, William Nelson and Charles A. Shriner published 'The History of Paterson and Its Environs' which includes many biographies of Passaic Country residents of the period. Some time ago, I posted the ancestries of the pioneer families on the Dutch-Colonies list which I am sure can be accessed in the list archives. Beginning today, I will post the names in the biographical index. Many of the biographies contain some ancestral information useful for genealogy. Depending on the response, I will try to provide information on those listed. Many of the biographies include a photograph. This 3-volume set is available locally in many libraries.
