My Ggrandparents Harry C. HART and Hester A. PALMER were married in Paterson at St. Paul's Protestant Episcopal Church by John Heffernan on 12/24/1871. City directories indicate the church was on Market, near Colt, and Rev. Heffernan was with the church 1870/71-1876. I want to learn the names of Hester's parents. The state of NJ didn't find a marriage record. Does anyone familiar with Paterson know if there is a more local approach to getting a marriage license, or how to contact this church, if it still exists?
