Why have you not asked for the SS5 Application using that Social Security number? This would give you, in the Applicants own handwriting (most of the time anyway) in his/her own statement, where they were born, who the parents were, where they lived when they were applying for a SS#, and where they worked. Its almost as good as a birth record, I find. Good luck!
