Hi List.. My great-grandparents, Sarah Jane Vreeland and Joseph Ashworth Shaw, were married in 1866 by a Rev. John or James H. Robinson at the Primitive Methodist Church in Paterson. Does anyone have any information about this church? I know it was a splinter group of the Methodist church, and that it no longer exists. I also would am seeking information on Rev. Abraham H. Vreeland, born in Paterson circa 1808-1815, married to Jane W. Van Riper. His brother was Elias Adrian Vreeland, married to Jane Van Houten. I have reason to suspect and I'm seeking information on Elias Adrian Vreeland and Jane Van Houten as well.....they may be my elusive gr-gr grandparents.
