Hello everyone; Does anyone have a map which shows the location in Paterson of a street named Wixit? I was not able to find it on Mapquest or Mapblast, so it must not exist any longer. My great grandfather Joseph Pozzoni's 1897 marriage certificate lists him as a 26 year old French immigrant, living at 25 1/2 Wixit, working as a silk weaver. I wonder if this address might give me a clue as to which silk manufacturer he was working for? I am also curious how close this was to 177 Van Houten St., where my great grandmother, Marie Elise ( Elizabeth ) LeLocat was living at that time. Thank you very much for any help you can give.
