Hi, This is my first dip into American Genealogy !! Although the majority of genealogical interests are in England, I believe that some branches came to America, and it is for this reason I have subscribed to the list. I am particularly interested in a marriage I have found on the IGI as follows: Wright BESWICK married Hester WHOELL on 31 Mar 1866 at Paterson, Passaic, New Jersey. I am starting to look at the BESWICK family of Manchester England, and the most unusual given name of Wright seems to have been passed from generation to generation, and there is a family tradition of a family trip to America in the 1860's. Given this, I would like to know if the above marriage is connected. My questions are: 1. Are the civil marriage details available, and if so how much information would be available (eg place of birth, age) 2. To whom should I write to get the information ? 3. How much would it cost ? 4.
