The marriage certificate shows Mary ETZEL age 18, born 1844. John Stumpf was born 10 February 1840 in Arnshain, Hessen, Germany. The couple moved to Floradale, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Co., Ontario, Canada between 1871 and 1878. A John EDSALL b 1806 Germany, his wife Margaret born 1814-1815 Germany, and their children appear in the 1850 and 1860 census living in Paterson, NJ.
