Hannah (Anna/Annatje) Stagg was probably the dau. of Dirck Stagg and Ann Wessels, and the gr.dau. of Lucas Wessel and his wife Joanna. She was b. 20 Jul 1776 (per Gr.father Wessel's manuscript). She was mentioned in the will of her gr.father, Lukas Wessels of Pompton Twp. Brg.Co., da. 21 Aug 1811, as gr.dau. Hannah Hopper (wife of Gilliam Hopper) $125 (NJA 41:416). She d. 6 Jan 1842, aged 66 years, bur. with husb. in the Falls Cem., s.w. corner of West Ridge and Latana Rds., in Greece, NY. GUILLIAM HOPPER, son of {Judge} John W. Hopper and Hannah Bertholf, was b. ca.1771 (age/gs.) probably in Warwick, NY. He d. 21 Sep 1841, of Greece (pro. rec.) aged 70y, References "One line of New Jersey Hoppers" by G.T.
