Hi Passaic and Sussex Co. Lists: I just wanted to report on my brief, but informative, research trip to Morristown, NJ the other day. The only place that my cousin and I visited was the Joint Free Public Library of Morristown and Morris Township located at 1 Miller Road, Morristown, NJ. It has a wonderful local history and genealogy department, staffed by knowledgeable and helpful people. The hours are unbelievable; Mon-Thurs, 9-9, Fri. 9-6, Sat. 9:30-5 and Sunday, 1-5!! I believe the weekend hours may change for the summer so, as always, it's best to call ahead. There is a parking lot behind the library as well as street parking with meters. The city was very "non-threatening" to drive in and and the library easy to find. As far as the material there, I could have stayed there until they closed at 9pm except I had to drive 3 hours to get back to where I am staying! I'll be visiting hopefully again this summer. The Morris Co. genweb page has a link to the library which lists out the stuff they have there. I've been to many, many libraries in the past few years and this one ranks right up there at the top of the list. And thanks to the people who recommended that we go there!
