Any ideas on why this is > happening? ----------------------------------- Melanie, it really has nothing to do with you at all. It is the server on the ISP (Internet Service Provider) that is "ordering" them for you. In fact, what you might see as an "out of order" posting may not be so on someone else's pooter. When you send an email, it will generally be transmitted to the host server (the "@xxx.com") and it will stay there until the person retrieves it to their PC. So, when you are sending email it will be "ordered" by the way it is stored on the host server --- as well, it can be "ordered" depending on how many stops along the way the email message must take. The internet is not a straight line. It is a rather convoluted network of computers all interconnected in some way (that is why we all can communicate with folks all over the globe), but with no central mechanism that controls the way information is handled (hence the sometimes "out of order" postings). Probably too much information. Rory http://www.erols.com/emcrcc/RGen.htm
