    3. Marilyn, I sent this message to two others (Bill and Jean) who mentioned POST: I have one POST connection, and have done little research: i. Jacob ECKHAR(D)T, abt. 1780- abt. 1849 m. Sarah POST, b. abt. 1780 ii. Jane ECKHAR(D)T, 1806-1889 m. Henry John VREELAND, 1803-1888 iii. Catherine VREELAND, 1824-1911 m. Abraham E. PULIS, 1820-1891 iv. Marcus J. PULIS, 1846-1927 m. Clara MERRITT, 1852-1917 Marcus and Clara PULIS are my g-grandparents. They ended up farming just across the border in Organge Co. NY, and are buried in Warwick (N.Y.) Cemetery. It is possible that Sarah is the daughter of Jacob POST. In the IGI, 1988, there is a christening in Bergen, Schraelenburg Dutch Ref. Church, on 22 APR 1781, for a "Sara" listing Jacob POST as father. I have not followed up. This is the right place and time period, I just haven't worked on this line. In the 1830 NJ Census, there are two POSTs in Pompton Twp., Bergen Co., who were b. 1780-1790: Abraham, who is aged 40-50, and is listed below Jacob ECHART in the census. Peter, also aged 40-50, on the next page of the census, so they are nearby families. There is another Abraham POST who is aged 30-40, so born 1790-1800, on the same page as Peter. There is also Abraham A. POST aged 20-30, so born 1800-1810, on the same page with the Abraham as the one aged 40-50. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you! --Noelle (a.k.a. Mrs. E.
