Utter - Sussex Independent Friday August 9,1929 Walter V. Utter died at his home in Warwick last Thursday night, after an illness of pernicious anemia lasting eleven weeks. He was the son of Abijah Utter and Jennie Hopkins and was born at West Milford December 23, 1878. On January 7, 1911, he married Julia Ryan, who survives him with the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Emily Barret; Addie, wife of Joseph Utter; Mrs. Dorcas Gerwig, all of Wisner, NY; Mrs. Carrie Rinch, Mrs. William Hunt, and Susan, wife of Emmett Tuthill, all of Middletown (NY); Martha, wife of William Nutt, of Perth Amboy (NJ); Mrs. Lavina Gould and Henrietta, wife of Samuel Cramer, both of Ogdensburg; Mrs. Josephine King of Dover and Theodore Utter of Charlottesburg. Requiem high mass was solomnized by the Rev. Mathew J. Duggan and his two assistants Monday at 10.30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church in Warwick, and burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
